WESTBROOK, Maine — July 18, 2013 – Pika Energy, Inc. and AnemErgonics, LLC have entered a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the development and sale of a home wind turbine product package. The intent of the working arrangement is to develop and deliver a made-in-the-USA small wind energy system that substantially improves the state-of-the-art as measured by the installed cost of energy. Both companies responded to competitive solicitations and received support from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy program and are engaged in collaborative testing efforts with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Pika Energy-AnemErgonics Small Wind Conference 2013In 2013, Pika Energy and AnemErgonics will collaborate on the installation of the Pika T701 wind turbine at demonstration sites at the National Wind Technology Center in Colorado and at The High Plains Regional Test Center in Colby, Kansas. AnemErgonics will supply both sites with SMarT Tower Systems, and it will support installation of the wind turbines. At the Kansas site, the High Plains Regional Test Center will conduct third-party testing of the Pika Energy T701 turbine to the Small Wind Certification Council standard.

“We trust the well-engineered SMarT Tower and SMarT Foundation kit to help the T701 deliver optimum performance at both demo sites,” said Joshua Kaufman, Pika Energy co-founder and Director of R&D. “AnemErgonics shares Pika’s mission of developing products that are  easier to install and that deliver greater energy value to our customers.”

“Our team looks forward to helping train Pika dealers to install SMarT Tower Systems,” said Paul Migliore, president of AnemErgonics.

Pika products are now available for sale with SMarT Tower Systems in North America.

About AnemErgonics, LLC

AnemErgonics focuses on monopole tower systems because their expense is the biggest factor in the cost of energy and payback period for small wind turbines.  Our innovative SMarT [Simple Modular Technology] products improve design flexibility and lowers costs.  SMarT Foundations save approximately 20% in materials and more than 50% in labor and on-site construction time.  Our lightweight SMarT Towers, up to 75-feet in height, can be erected with a simple gin pole and winch.  With only minor exceptions, all of our products are made in the USA.  For more information please visit www.anemergonics.com.
